Landshut (here at Manchester airport in 1975), the very Lufthansa-aircraft hijacked to Mogadischu, Somalia, on 13th October 1977 as Flight LH 181 from Palma de Mallorca to Frankfurt am Main. Later stormed by the West German counter-terrorism unit GSG 9. All 87 passengers and four crew members were rescued. Three of the four terrorists were killed during the storming.
